During the summer of 2008, just prior to his sophomore year of high school, Stephen was diagnosed with a Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. After a year of weekly chemotherapy and doctor visits, he is now in remission and on his way to a bright future as a student at Lyman Briggs Residential College at Michigan State University.
When Stephen found out he had cancer, his reaction was “Oh no, I don’t want to lose my hair”! Stephen has continued to carry this light hearted spirit with him and has been a true inspiration to others. He has demonstrated amazing courage, dedication, and a passion to help others through fundraising efforts and his involvement with several cancer related organizations.
Stephen’s goals are to help children and young adults through research and education and by ultimately becoming a Pediatric Oncologist.
